Lady Gaga has announced a spate of tour dates in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. And since the Monster Ball won’t be anywhere near Kansas anymore, Gaga’s plans for her newly rejigged stage show seem all-too apt. Apparently, Gaga’s off to see the Wizard of Oz.
As the pop star revealed on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show (via MTV), the international incarnation of her Monster Ball tour is going to be a completely different beast than the show that recently rolled through North America.
“It’s a glam, drug-addict opera that’s pretty amazing,” she said on Seacrest’s show. “It’s still called Monster Ball, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert. It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost.”
“It’s got a kind of Wizard of Oz influence,” she continued.
The Wizard of Ga’s starts her international tour in Manchester, England Feb. 18 and carries on until April 18 when the Monster Ball reaches Japan. According to Billboard, she’s expected to return to North America for more arena dates in the summer.

Courtney:- Reminiscent of the elaborate on-stage looks of Lady Gaga, Love got decked out in enormous false eyelashes, purple eyeliner and dark red lips. At the mention of the pop sensation, Love said at first she “wasn’t sure” about Gaga.
But Love, who calls Elton John a friend, became a convert after watching his Grammy duet with the singer, and says she’s only heard good things about her from mutual friend, photographer David LaChapelle. “[H]e loves her,” Love says. “He really helped legitimize her by doing a Rolling Stone cover. He came in like, ‘I met this girl and I love her, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.’”
“She did something the other night,” Love added, referring to the Grammy performance, “and I was like, you know what honey, take the cake, seriously.”
But Love admits she’s not a huge fan of Gaga’s music. “I don’t think her music is that compelling, but that’s cause I listen to rock music. I’m an old hippie. You know what I listened to last night? Stevie [bleeping] Nicks.”

Pop singer Lady GaGa has said that she is really excited about her new tour, describing it as “more of a musical and less of a concert”.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on KIIS FM, she said: “It’s still called ‘Monster Ball’, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert.”
“It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost. It’s got a kind of ‘Wizard Of Oz’ influence.”
“I can’t even sleep. I just wish I could go to sleep, wake up, and it was the opening night of the tour.”

For a mega-sta full of surprises, it was no surprise Lady Gaga stole the show at this year’s way-over-the-top Grammy Awards.
For starters, she won two Grammys: “Poker Face” was best dance recording and “The Fame” earned the award for best electronic-dance album.
She wore three different outfits — each more bizarre than the previous, from a risque, heart-shaped stunner to a spiky silver headdress with matching gown.
And she wowed the audience by segueing from a powerful “Poker Face” to a duet with Elton John, with both looking like orphans out of a Dickens novel, and John tweaking the lyrics of “Your Song:” “How wonderful life is, with Gaga in the world.”
“It’s amazing, but not surprising that people have gravitated to her,” says Jeff Rabhan, a music industry executive who has worked with Jermaine Dupri and J.Lo, and heads NYU’s Clive Davis department of recorded music.
“Artists have not done a lot to differentiate themselves recently. If you look at Beyoncé or Alicia Keys, they’ve been very traditional in their approach. People are looking for something different.”
Lady Gaga certainly is different: a contradiction whose lyrics are X-rated, but who’s also a sweet Italian-American girl from the West Side who adores her parents.
